Of steel grit
- Switch on light and extractor switches.
- Operate foot pedal. Air will instantly lift the pop-up valve and commence blasting.
ROUTINE SERVICE
In order for the machine to remain in good condition, we recommend that you periodically perform common maintenance operations, so that it always works at peak efficiency and at its best performance.
EVERY 10 HOURS:
– Switch extraction unit off.
– Using the handle, shake the filter element 4-5 times.
– Empty dust hopper.
EVERY 40 HOURS:
- Check nozzle.
- Check filter bag in extractor unit
and shake thoroughly.
- Check acetate window sheet and replace
if necessary.
- Check all-in-one rubber gloves and replace
if necessary.
- Check hoses and replace them if necessary.
- Check all door and extractor seals and
replace if necessary.
– Check media.
EVERY 100 HOURS:
– Check and replace the filter bag if necessary.
– Check floor mesh for wear and replace
if necessary.
- Check the floor, clean the extractor fan.
- Check blast nozzle and hoses.

FAULT FINDING
CORRECT MAINTENANCE
All blasting equipment has components that by use need replacing. Please ensure that proper maintenance procedures are adopted to evaluate and replace any parts that may need fitting before a breakdown renders machinery inoperable.
Listed below are a number of symptoms that could occur when using any pressure blast machine.
DUSTY CABINET
- Check extractor is switched on.
- Shake lever on side of extractor – hourly.
- Replace dust bag – 6 monthly.
- Media breaking down. Replace with purer grade.
AIR PRESSURE DROPS
- The nozzle is worn.
- Compressed air supply ineffective.
- Has airline any snap connectors?
NO GRIT WHEN PEDAL PRESSED
- The Media delivery pipe is blocked. Clean out.
- Nozzle blocked.
- Pop-up valve jammed. Strip down and free.
- Pressure pot overfilled. Strip down and drain.
- Media damp from the air. Strip down and replace.
- Foot pedal faulty.
- Water trap faulty.
PRESSURE POT EMPTIES TOO QUICKLY
Steel grits are heavier than alumina’s and therefore can last longer. It could be beneficial by increasing the blasting durations to use one of these products.
